My miniature colt is now 8 months old. I am trying to do some work with him ready for the show season. I only do about 10 mins every other day as not to overface him so young. The problem i have with him is when he is being led he tries to bite the lead. This is worse in trot. He throws his head about and turns it round towards me. All i can see is his top lip curling and him trying to bite me or the lead. Anyone any suggestions how to prevent this or deal with it? Do you think its just being babyish or because he is a colt? and finally do they ever grow out of the habit?!!
