Any sussex people remember Beauport Park?

Owned by Mrs Whimhurst and run by Ros? A lovely yard then, old Victorian stables and stalls in the old block with big grey Neptune in the box of honour by the tack room, with a new block over the yard? I learnt to ride there in the 60's, first rode Frosty, a roan pony, then dark skewbald Bonaparte then grey Welsh Charlie.....I know TG has been there more recently but anyone remember way, way, back?

I went there in about 2000, looking for livery for my horse - it wasn't suitable as the grazing was poor and the stables were cramped, damp and dark!

It looked like it had been well cared for once.
Apparently it's all been done up now, back to its former glory.

Yes, I went back about 15 years ago and it made me feel rather sad...hope it has been done up now!
