There is an awful lot to take into account, and depends on whether you want to consolidate certain attributes or bring in new attributes. (This gets into the genetics, which I won't bore you with). I strongly suggest you talk to a few knowledgeable ID breeders and discuss what you are looking to produce. Good luck!
He is an old boy now, I think I would be making enquires on the percentage of mares he gets in foal before parting with alot of money. I think he is in Ireland, so you would be using frozen semen.
I expect someone will answer your question with some relevant info.
I like Avanti Amorous Archie, he competes regulary and very successfully and has a wonderful temperament. His foals are super from all types of mare.
How far are you away from the stud? If its feasible Id suggest going and having a look for yourself.

What are your hoping to breed? A heavyweight/mediumweight? all-rounder? Two quite different but both powerful types and the Clover Brigades I've seen are workmanlike sorts that certainly jump.
Lovely stallion... went to see him recently and was very impressed... Stud owner is very good to deal with... Stallion is in great shape and looks half his age
