I have owned my pony for 3 years now and last year as he is young (was 6 years at the time) i decided due to a lifestyle change and much less time, that i would regrettably have to sell him. I advertised him on horse mart.co.uk, in local shops and sites like preloved and horse quest etc. In the whole of last year i only got a handful of emails and under 10 calls, none of which were suitable (all wanting a loan or for young children). I stopped advertising over the winter as i knew he wouldn't be as fit and therefore didn't want to sell him not at his very best. Now I'm re-advertising and I'm scared a year will pass and i will still have him, which is not fair on him as i don't have the time he desperately wants, due to approaching 6th form years.
I feel he is priced to sell, i have had him priced by several trainers/instructors and they all said it could even go higher. On his ad there is a side profile photo of him, a good jumping photo and a photo of him trotting, ridden. He is now 7 years old, a cob, but very level headed, great on the ground, responsive, pops over any jump put in front of him, and loves to work and learn new things.
any help?
(i will not auction him nor send to a dealer, its not fair on him)
