Hi, has anybody got any advice on any trailers that would carry 2 16hh horses? A few people I have spoke to have said that most wont carry that much weight legally. Or any 3.5 boxes? which I know is highly unlikely!
Anyone got any advice?
TIA

My ifor Williams 505 will, so do the bigger models. I think it’s maybe a 3.5t lorry they mean as most of those can only carry 1 horse weight wise.

Bat3eson horse trailers will carry 2 large horses. As for 3.5 ton vehicles I doubt if any will have the payload to carry 2 horses plus driver, groom & rack. They normally have a maximum payload of around 1150kgs which would not accommodate the weight you wish to carry.

Loads of options ... any of the 2 horse iforse, equitreks, rice, Bateson, chevalier Liberte... there are loads but you will need a towing vehicle with a decent capacity... 3,5 tonnes towing capacity vehicles off the top of my head include range roced (full fat and sport) disco, defender, toureag, land cruiser, L200 I think , q7 ... I’m sure there are loads more I know there are a lot more that tow 2.7 tonnes so it depends on the weight of your trailer and horses tbh
