Any true horses out there with the real hidalgo in there breeding?

where can you find them, watched the film today, love it. just wondering any of his off spring around. i know it was 1877 but i mean having him in there pedigree, there is alot that is named hidalgo, but not the real one.
just would like to see some of them, what an amazing horse.
 
Sorry to rain on your parade, but the whole Hidalgo saga was made up by a con artist. ( I saw the film then got the book.) If "Hidalgo" even existed as an actual horse, then the facts of his breeding were probably false too.

It made a great story, but a story it is...
 
Nice film, ends there. In top international endurance, mustangs aren't present (& it isn't bias as shown in the film. If a breed / colour did the job it would be used). Current world record holder for 160km (100 miles) is an arab, anglos seem to be gaining the most popularity currently.
