They are doing well - have seen vet, farrier and most importantly the dentist and are turned out in a nice paddock when possible to eat grass while its still around!

The stamford horses who were rescued after the rspca 'checked' them and said they were still standing and ok. They were barely standing and barely ok.
from the WHW letter: " the RSPCA arranged for a vet to visit the horses on 14th August to provide a full report on their condition. The report from the vet stated that, although the horses were very thin, they were not suffering, so the vet wasnt prepared to support a prosecution unless their condition deteriorated."
i am still awaiting the result of the internal investigation into the vet who pronounced them 'fine' and 'not suffering'. the practice which employs him has promised to let me know what happens. we could pursue it further with RCVS i guess, if they do nothing...
how 2 horses with a condition score of zero can be described as 'not suffering' is beyond me.
