Any western riders on here?

I am not a western rider as such, but I love riding in my western saddle
I think if you were to google western saddles you would get some ideas.
I bought my wintec western from a friend, so it found me, sorry i can't be more help

Sorry I should have been clearer. I have seen loads for sale but I have no idea what's a good make (if they have makes!?) or what I am looking for. Is your synthetic comfy? I never found synthetic English saddles very nice to ride in.

I just want one as a stop gap for my new mare as I think it should be easier to get one to fit than an English saddle due to her shape. And I might use it in the future when I start roping cows off her ;)

My saddles are both treeless. I have a Startrekk and a Freemax, the Freemax rides like a treed saddle, quite a bit heavier than the Startrekk, but lighter than a treed western. There's a couple of places that fit western saddles :)

Depends what your horse is really, Wintec Westerns can be a bit funny to fit. We have two treeless westerns, a Freemax and an EZ Fit (handmade Amish western treeless) and my mare currently has a Westwood Platinum saddle which it lovely. The Westwoods (now Wild West Platinums), Garlands and White Star saddles are all made by the same Italian company with American components and design and are great saddles. Circle Ys are great but can be a funny fit, Billy Cook and Textan are good saddles too.

My Westwood is for sale as I prefer the Freemax saddles because my mare changes shape so much I prefer the flexibility of the treeless saddle. :)

She is an American Paint. Her owner reckoned it would be easier to get a western saddle to fit her while she is still changing. She is 4 and has a wide back and huge shoulders. I'm starting to think its not going to be any easier than an English saddle, in fact maybe worse as I don't know much about them. :o

There's lots of basic info online at http://www.horsesaddleshop.com/howshoulifit.html#.UHLRhk1OTko including some starter templates which you might want to try to give you an idea of Western saddle tree sizing for your horse. Basic rule of thumb for seat size is to deduct 1 1/2-2 inches from your English saddle seat size.
If you were to go down the English saddle route, looking at your picture something like a Bates Caprilli wide fit would probably work; I switch between wide and extra wide gullets on my stock horse types (all QHs) and the Bates GP style gives shoulder clearance and fits pretty well.

Stunning horse!! I'm going to have to start looking into fleece panel saddles for my 3 year old Rocky Mountain Horse, I love my Australian Stock Saddles but I just don't think the stuffed Panel type saddle suit the broad backed and shouldered US Breeds. My Wintec Stock Saddle just rides forward when I lunge in it.
