Any western riders on the forum.......?

hooray - didn't seem much on here......
I am in Kent and have just started - love it - no wish to sit on an english saddle ever again!

Has anyone ever ridden western in the New Forest, I want to have a go but not do it regularly :p? We were thinking of going down for a little break, and riding western there sounds great :)

Btw SORRY to hijack thread! *slaps wrists*

Tis where I have been going, being a London girl, can only go every so often, but they are just fab! Wonderful, healthy, happy horses, good instructors, riding out in the forest and yummy BBQs :D

Horses are turned out mares/geldings, you can go and catch in your horse, they arent molly-coddled either, just safe, sane ponios :)

The smile on my face tells it all :D

I've always wondered if Burley was any good for western. I would love to have my own western horse. I've ridden western numerous times in Canada and I just love it. Apparently when I'm rich (!) I'm going to buy my non horsey sister a western horse she loved it so much when we went.

CB - They are mostly a 'western' kinda yard, but they do English riding as well. I had my first taste of lateral work there as well, never dreamed I could do that! There is nothing like riding amongst the ponies in the forest :D
