Anybody been to Rossdale Newmarket

Apart from the obviously high level of experience, which is as you would expect, I have always had my calls replied to promptly, when I've left messages. I haven't been treated like the village idiot! and surprisingly, I've always found the eventual bills, to be very reasonable.

I've also dealt with Greenwood Ellis (NEH) and found them to be equally satisfactory. Apart from vacs, and routine things like that, which we have done at home, all of our work is done at Newmarket, and I'd take some persuading to go elsewhere!!

Alec.

Hi - my mare went to have her splint bone removed @ Rossdales and I found all the staff and vets there to be fantastic. She was in foal at the time and I was so worried that she might not carry it though the GA, but they reassured me she'd be ok and she was. When I went to pick her up I found her in the isolation ward - apparently a horse had come in with something that can make mares abort (can't remember what it was now) so they'd move mine straight away. She had a lovely bed and the place was immaculate. Can't comment on price as the insurance company picked up the tab.

My mare broke her long pastern and was referred to Rossdales, they screwed her back together again and I have nothing but good things to say about them, Tim Greet is a God!

This all happened about 20 years ago and my mare was one of the first non TB to have this op, she was also, at 10, the oldest horse they had ever attempted the repair on, apparently they still use shots of her in their lectures. Incidentally, the mare is still with me and will be 31 next birthday.

Rossdales respond to calls quickly, are helpful, felxible and good at explaining things without making you feel stupid :D My bill from them has always been reasonable. I would definitely recommend them :)

I found them amazing I went there as an emergency referal the bill was very reasonable, they answered all my calls promptly, gave me regular reports and helpewd no end when i phoned up for after care

We've practically lived up at Rossdales over the last year with one thing and another and will be going back (unfortunatley). They are very good at surgery and immediately post surgery, Tim Greet may be one of the top in his field but he's found time to sit down with us and explain the options in simple terms.

Whether it was 3 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon, they've been responsive and professional even through some very hard decisions.

My vote is a positive one!

I've had 2 horses go down for Arthroscapy, both done by Richard Payne. He was very helpful, explained what had happened and although they both couldn't be fixed due to what was there I was happy with the service. VERY resonable with the bill too. Reduced it.

Yes, middle of the night New Years Eve/Day 20 years ago, drove down from Northants with a dying mare for colic surgery.

Excellent place, brilliant team (I think it was TG that operated) customer service second to none, my 5 year old mare went on to produce 4 foals, hunt hard for 3 seasons, go back into race training, do Endurance and was with me for another 12 years, never a murmur of colic problems in all that time.

I have been there twice for two seperate conditions with the same pony.

I have nothing but praise for them. They kept me informed regularly, were extremely professional and prompt with their diagnosis and communication, but most importantly were kind, caring and compassionate with my little girl.

I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend them to anyone.

Nikki

Seem to have spent my life taking my horse to and from them this year and they've always been brilliant, even put up with me asking millions of questions and sending me copies of all the scans :)

Took my youngster over there three times with the last one being a one way trip. Rossdales were fantastic from start to finish. I had nothing to complain about despite the end result!
