Well as above... its too wet and horrible to ride so i find myself catching up on theory- watching horse hero and dvds while i've got Horse and Country tv in the background and searching around on here..... anybody would think i'm a bit obsessed!

Anybody else??

You're not the only one! Gotta pass the winter blues and bad weather one way or another.

Absolutely. I fell off Dinah when I was 3 years old and have never looked back since. If the local health authority would give me permissiom, I would be buried with my horse. Only if he were my horse at the time of my demise. Im buggered if I would be buried with my current boy

hahahaha lmao was just talking to somebody and meant to write "great its stopped raining i'm off to walk dogs" but accidently wrote "great its stopped REINING!" too sad!

yep, lots of horsey stuff.

People seem to be of the opinion that if they dont know what to buy me then buy me something with a horse on it or associated with horses

I have two bedrooms, one non horsey and the other soo horsey you wouldnt believe!
The horsey one has my rossettes all over the wall/window/curtain rail, the back of the door is covered in pictures of my horses past and present, I have 3 shelves filled with tropheys/plaques etc. and hanging down from the curtain rail are medals

the non-horsey one has nothing to do with horses in it except a collage i made of pc trip to sa

Unfortunately, my friends lack the same obsession... so I don't tend to follow through with my crazy plans to go to HOYS/Olympia/Badminton/etc.... I don't fancy going on my own!

My teachers at school seem to have mixed feelings about my ability to drag horses into every subject... some find it amusing - some find it rather annoying xD

its definately a talent espically when every story, article or other piece or written work can be centred around horses. teacher at school once set us some work on "give a 5 minute presentation on a hobbie or something that interests you".... think they regretted it afterwards... only 5 mins????

Unfortunately I'm very obsessed, recently uploaded photo of my boy onto PC screen saver at work.

I now find myself staring at Ted throughout the day instead of working! Thankfully work have not clocked this yet.

God No! Much more to life than just horses I have found.

I think I went through the 'horses are my life' stage up to about 17. Then I left home, my insular little village, and went to college in a city, lived and worked in different countries, didn't have time for horses.

I can take them or leave them, the ones I have now are just for fun, my personal pleasure, the day I stop enjoying breeding or seeing them in the fields is the day I advertise them. I have others here too, but they aren't mine and are purely business, they are a lot of hard slog and quite honestly, some days I am fed up to the back teeth with horses.

I wouldn't shrivel up and die if I had to sell mine all for some reason - if it came to a toss up between things like paying the mortgage, my family, health (no NHS) or an opportunity too good to be missed then I'd be sad to see them go, but go they would.

ps. Except for Charley

see i went to uni, moved to the city for 2 years, hated every second of the city part so moved back home and commuted in every day... or missed a lot of lectures because i was too busy with horses. ooops!!!

Sorry, that was a QR, general response, not aimed at you in particular.

I missed a lot of lectures too, but it had nothing at all to do with horses
