Having just been told i get £1400 from savings account and if the pony i have in to sell gets sold i think i might get my ramp re hung as im sure its getting heavier i can just about put it up on my own and im pretty strong but getting it downs a nightmare my friends have to hang of the back whilst i pull the rope is amusing but getting stupid!
So has anybody had this done? how much did it cost? and does any body know of anywhere good to get it done in essex/cambs/herts? if not anybody have any ideas other than finding some sort of body builder as a bf? once thats done i can finally save up to get it sprayed wooooo!!
thankyou in advance!

Yes I have, it was like lead and I couldn't open it without 3 people helping to hold it and I definitely couldn't close it and I'm no wimp!

I had the floor done which cost £650, and I asked them to sort the springs on the ramp. Total bill £775. I was not happy! 2 springs and fitting £125!! At least it works properly now.

Yes my ramp fell off so it had to be resprung!

It was also really heavy before it was done.

It cost about £1000 for recovery of the ramp (it was REALLY heavy!), new hinges and springs and they also replaced the metal bars accross the ramp with wooden ones as my horse was slipping on the metal.

I now have hinges with grease nipples on them so that I (OK OH) can lubricate them to keep the ramp in good condition and easy to lift.

Its now a one girlie lift rather than a 2 man.

I am going to get my done soon. The existing springs only work when it is at 45 deg, so cannot help with the crucial last 4 inches. My mechanic is going to fit a 2nd pair of springs underneath to boost it for closing.

thanks everyone! will get phoning around, or bribe my father! either way! sold my (friends) little pc pony today so have a bit more cash so will try not to spend it before i get it sorted, i cant wait to throw my ramp up and not break my back!
