Found by a friend on the main road running through Stoke Hammond; female, very friendly, no collar and sadly not chipped. Looks like she's been hit by a car and is now recieving treatment at a vets.

Look familiar?

More likely is that she was thrown from a moving car. This and leaving the dogs tied up overnight seem to be the latest trend in dumping staffies. No chip, what a surprise.

If no one comes forward , please can you PM me? I can at least check to see what the local pounds policy is with regards rehoming or get her on the list as needing a rescue space..

Poor little thing. I hope she escaped rather than being dumped. I know I would be going out of my mind if I lost any of my dogs and would call round every vet for miles around. Hopefully her owners are doing the same.

Will do.

Although to be honest I'm quite tempted to offer her a temporary home while she's trying to find a new home if no owners come forwards. I think snoozing in the car as I mooch about town visiting clients with 3 walks a day is better than rotting in kennels :(

Oh Kat, please please do that. Staffords are notorious for doing badly in kennels as they crave human companionship so much. This little girl would be much happier keeping you company in your car. PM if you need help as I do know people in Stafford Welfare and can try to help. Anything else you need in terms of Staffie info just shout. Just be prepared for a little dog who will worm her way into your heart big time. Staffies rehome really well from bad experiences as they love people so much. All of mine (rehomed 4) walked straight in as though they had lived at mine all their life. Will pm you my mobile as well.

That would be amazing if you did that Kat! I grew up in Leighton Buzzard and only live 20 mins away now. I do hope she gets better!! We have just taken on another rescue staffy x as a foster else I'd be begging my OH to have her. But 5 dogs is all I'm getting away with I think :)

Hi. Have seen posters in L/B about stolen staffie. Just running to get number now from Post Office near me. Owners heartbroken. Back Soon

Tori is a blue Staffy male who has been missing since November. Would you like me to put this girls details on Doglost as an awful lot of people look for lost dogs there xxx

That is sad as it would have been great to reunite owners and their dogs ;-((
Can't imagine how traumatic it would be to lose our family beardie.

Just to let you know that Tori the lost dog on the posters was reunited with his owners yesterday - he had been sold on by the person that took him, the guy who bought him in good faith saw the posters and returned him to his owners. I just love happy endings xxx

That's really good news for that dog and his owners/

The little brindle staffy above is very similar to my rescue girl (Battersea cruelty case), they are great dogs, I always think they are big dogs in small bodies. Good luck with her and reuniting her with her owner if she is genuinely lost. If not the idea of fostering her is a very good one.
