Anybody interested in a spot of TREC (Hatfield Broad Oak, 30th March)

Anybody interested in joining me and the highland beast for a POR (orienteering / hack phase) of TREC? My "usual" (by which I mean we've done 2 together thus far ) TREC buddy is swanning off to visit parents or something - the cheek of it

Ideally I'd like to do L2 or L3 (up to 20km) if I can find someone willing to buddy up. If not I'll have to man up and take him round the L1 by himself I promise he's very nice and a sound hacking buddy, and I don't really bite (unless you're male and look exceptionally good in jodhs ).

I might even manage some form of edible bribe for willing participants

Sorry - too far for me (and I find that bit really boring.....probably because I am the worst map reader in the world and always get lost!)

We are organising a TREC again at my RC this year so really looking forward to that because I know where I'm going

I would love to pick you up, but I think my mother might flip if I suggested an hour's detour both ways One day i'll pass my B+E and be able to do as I please!

Really? I find winter TRECs much more boring than PORs - partly because the PTVs are so slow and technical. Plus I need the practice with a map!

Just to check, what sort of pace is it likely to be? Not worrief about the distance but if its constant trotting i don't think she'll be fit enough.

No, the times are normally not too fast (a couple of years ago I did the final section of a 20km in half the time it was meant to take on my veteran cob - and he wasn't even very fit but we never could say no to a good gallop ) and it's not an issue to take them a bit slower. I'm more concerned about map reading practice than speed judging!
