Hi , my friend has been to see a boxer pup but is saying that the top jaw teeth sit slighly back from the bottom jaw - does this sound right?
anybody know anything about boxers?

Boxer puppies should have square jaws. The lower jaw is undershot and curves a little upwards. The strong jaws of the Boxer are home to a perfect set of white teeth that form a full scissor bite that is extremely powerful.

perfectly normal for boxers to have an undershot jaw... its part of what makes them look the way they do! 
many of the bull breeds are undershot- my betty is too.
just make sure the pup is not excessively undershot, as this can lead to problems.
