hi guys

I am moving over to lisburn in may my hubby is about to take over as yard manager and i will be working there to very excited just wondering if any one knew much about it !! long shot i no but u never no ??

Is it Lisburn Saddle club attatched to Thiepval Barracks?
If so then I lived there for 3 1/2 years although it was over ten years ago! However, even then they had a really nice indoor school and a decent cross country course. They had lots of nice turn out too. The yard was always really friendly and my OH learnt to ride there on an ex cavalry horse. I'm sure the facilities have probably improved again since then but who knows!
Have you been to Northern Ireland before or been for a reccy?

hi ,
no not yet my husband is in cavarly hence why we r going out there , we are going out there 1st weekend in march :-) very excited ,sounds great didnt realise they had xc course ...just want to get there now

Hello again, they def had a Xc course when I was there, it was built in the turn out fields which were across the road. However I have heard that the saddle club closed at one point and was reopend by the new OC who was horsey. So, i don't know how much land they retained and wether they managed to keep the XC course.
NI is a lovely place to live and I met some great people there, Lisburn has changed alot since I was there and now has great leisure and shopping facilities. Don't be put off by the media badness, 99.9% of the people you meet there are lovely, warm, welcoming people. Take notice of all the safety advice they will give you but try not to let it frighten you and go see some of the country. Giants Causeway is a must see and the coast road to get there is beautiful.
