I am curious to know, if the baroque way of riding is popular in the UK ?
And who is riding in a special baroque saddle ?
Do you know the make DEUBER here ?

I ordered my new saddle (DEUBER Desmond O'Brien Schoolsaddle) and be glad of getting rid of the nasty westernsaddle, which I had for at least three years although I'm riding the english way.
But it takes 12 weeks to get the new one ...:(

I do own a portuguese saddle, which from looking at the pictures, is very similar. However, I have only ever used it for re-enactment purposes and it is currently in storage as I am not sure it even fits my current horse

Is this similar to "classical riding" - Sylvia Loch. Looking at the web pages it is also very similar to Doma Español (spanish dressage) and Alta Escuela (high school). I would say that most people probably try and incorporate some of the principles into their riding - sitting deep and using wieght and position. Certainly when I came to Spain all my lessons were based on me losing my "cling on and hope for the best" style and developing a more "classical" style - who knows - one day they may succeed.
