Anybody use or tried rugs/blankets from "Trust" Equestrian? >

I'm in the USA and I'm interested in two of their blankets because they seem to have a unique design that might work for my horse with impossible to fit physique!

He's a stallion with a very large neck, and high AND wide withers (long too), AND a big chest. *sigh*

Every winter he gets sore withers because of blankets...they're either too heavy on his withers, or they pull down on his withers when he's eating off the ground, making him sore.

"Trust" blankets/rugs purport to have a special system called Tetris that essentially lifts the rugs off of the withers through the use of blocks or pads around that area.

These are the two I'm interested in trying, but it would of course be $$$ to have them shipped and god knows how or if they'll fit *frown* Soooo, I'm looking for any input from people here who may use them or have used them.

You can kind of see how the collar area of these rugs are different (mouse over pics to enlarge)

(p.s. My horse usually wears a regular Rambo, which seems to be the least offensive to him. I tried the Wug, no go (the clips dig into his large chest) and the Rambo Supreme Vari-Layer (pulled down hard over his withers when he ate off of the ground)
 
They are very pricey, I had a similar problem with my old horse and found Swish rugs worked well as the neck sits above the wither. Much cheaper than the 'trust' ones.
 
They're not sold in America and, no one here has even heard of them.

I discovered them by relentlessly searching for innovative rugs for horses who get sore withers in winter.
 
I have 2 horses (one is a big Irish draught with high withers, and the other an Irish hunter with high and long withers) and the rambo optimos suit them brilliantly! They are really deep in the chest area ... but they do come up HUGE so buy a size smaller than normal! I only have horseware rugs and my mare is a 6'9 in them all....but the 6'6 optimo even comes up a bit roomy on her!
 
Thanks ashlingm... I actually ordered an Optimo Stall Blanket to try, also from overseas! Why don't they sell everything in the US? *cries*
I haven't tried the HW Rambo Optimo Turnout but just may do so. Still interested in the design of the Trust rugs though!
 
How about trying the old fashioned method of stitching some foam into the withers of a current rug? You used to be able to get those keyhole shaped sponges for the job, but it would be easy to cut some the perfect shape.
 
Have you tried a half neck rug? Something like a Rambo Wug? My share horse has a problem with rugs that sit or have any stitching on his withers but the Wugs are fine as they stretch over the withers rather than stopping there.
 
I could try something like this but from what I've heard, stitching into a turnout rug often creates leaks through the rug when it rains, due to the stitiching through the material.

Sorry should have been clearer, was using the Wug as an example - there are lots of other makes that are better suited to wider shouldered horses. My boy has huge, very square shoulders and has a Fal with a half neck, it has plenty of room for his shoulders.
 
When I bought my TB many years ago his withers (I used to call them razor blades!) used to rub raw. I considered sewing foam sponges either side to raise it clear but first tried stitching a wad of fake sheepskin into the withers, problem solved! He never had sore withers again! A pain to begin with but worth it. On the turn out rugs just stitch into the internal material, not all the way through, this prevents leaking.
 
I've been wanting Trust Tetris rug for ages. OH was supposed to bring one back from Germany but I'm still waiting.:) Also like the Turtle Neck rugs but I'm holding out for the Tetris.
