Anybody used Mindbuzzler.com?

Hello!
I have bought a Passier eventing saddle from mindbuzzler.com and it was delivered to France in a week (they had to order the right size from the supplier) with no hick-ups. Kirstin Uhlenbrock, the owner of mindbuzzler.com is very knowledgeable about saddles and will help you to find the right one if you need advice. On the blog on their website you can find my comments on the saddle, I am very happy with it and my horse seems to be too. Happy riding! Veera

I have used Mindbuzzler to buy a Passier dressage saddle and they've been brilliant. I emailed Kirstin with details (including pictures) of my horse as I'd previously been told he was hard to fit. She brought 5 saddles to my yard, four of which fitted! She took lots of time to let me ride in the saddles and left me with two to try for a week or so before making up my mind. Kirstin is very knowledgeable and has the best interests of horse and rider in mind. She would rather not sell you anything than sell you something unsuitable. I've been delighted with the Mindbuzzler service in every way. I now have a Passier bridle on order to match my saddle!!

I'm delighted to tell Everyone about Kirstin, Ive used two saddle fitters in the past, Kirstin is by far the most interested in both the Horse and You which I feel is equally important, she has something for Everyone and above all to suit all pockets :) I would and will and do recommend Kirstin to All and will continue too. I'm so pleased I just picked up the telephone that Evening.
I'm delighted to say I am a Passier convert and will possibly be asking Santa for the bridle !! Mindbuzzler.com is without any doubt the way forward.

call me a cynic, but is it not a little strange that no one answered, then three brand new posters answered your query today as their first ever postings.

Hi,
I'm local to the girl who runs it, she's in the local RC. Won a dressage league sponsored by the business last year and got a lovely passier saddle pad. Have seen her out and about with an old stallion...basically I haven't used them but she isn't a crook if you see what I mean?! Fairly new- they had a stand at Central Scotland HT this year.

Yes, I have. I bought a GP in 2010 and two sets of Passier stirrups in 2011. The GP was a low end generic saddle and I hadn't used Mbuzzler before so I ordered another GP simultaneously from a bigger organization for almost exactly the same price. Mb's saddle was the superior fit with longer flaps and better build quality. I have since sold on the other saddle but still use the one from Mb. No complaints so far. More importantly, Mb's service was excellent. I live in Malaysia and Mb worked out a really cheap deal to get the saddle over here. Follow up for all my purchases was also very good. Prices quoted are very competitive. You can check that out for yourself. Lastly, if it makes any difference, the people running Mb are totally horse people who know what they are talking about. I would recommend anyone to use them. It's good to be careful when making purchases on the net, but there's absolutely no need to be cynical about Mbuzzler. Five horseshoes.

Ahh, still some cynicism there. That's alright. I don't presume to speak for any of the other newbies posting for the first time on HnH, but I did this in support of Mbuzzler and Kirstin Uhlenbrock because I sincerely wish her and her business well. Sadly, I have yet to meet her, have no business or family connection to this lady or her partner and post solely as a satisfied customer. The original posting said "Anybody used Mindbuzzler.com?" and so I think its fair to say I qualify along with the other "foals" as anybody. I'd like to think these postings have been helpful to the person making the original query. No-one's forcing anyone to buy from Mb, but in my experience of forums and word of mouth recommendations the truth usually comes out in the end, so we'll just have to wait and see if any HnH "schoolmasters" decide to take the plunge and use Mb so they can give a more authoritative evaluation to the rest of us. And I do agree, the name is strange, (sorry Kirstin!)but when you read about why the name is what it is you'll appreciate it all the more. Happy riding.

Hi there,

I run Mindbuzzler Ltd together with my partner Tim and am I a foal posting here as well.
I saw the post in the forum and asked a few of my customers if they would post a reply as I thought it would not make any sense if I would post a reply.

So, thank you to everybody who did make the effort of registering in the H&H forum and posting a reply!
We only started Mindbuzzler in October 2010 and have been attending a number of the local shows over the summer.

Another new person here, I've been sitting on the fence and lurking for a while now and this has tipped me into registering. Some of you might know me from Saddle Up, I have the same username there.

I've known Kirstin a very long time and she's always been nothing but helpful and honest. She came out to me yesterday, bringing a truck full of saddles, and tried many of them on my older Dales mare who has to be the worlds most pernickity mare to find a saddle for, she's a right princess and the pea girlie

Kirstin didn't have one in stock that fitted but went away with us having worked out what will suit and she's going to try and find me one second hand as I can't afford new. I was happy with the service and I know it's based on a sound knowledge of horses, riding and keeping the horse sound and comfortable. I'm confident we'll find something for my mare that I can afford and that she'll be happy with. I'm equally confident Kirstin won't sell me something that won't work well for us.

If you think she might have something that you would like to buy why not give her a call and have a chat over the phone? That way you can make your own mind up but I can vouch for the fact that she won't run away with your money or provide shoddy, second rate goods that aren't as described.
