As I have absolutely no riding equipment left and very little cash at present to buy any I was having a quick scout around for something to fill the gap and came across a CHRIST LAMMFELLE BAREBACK PAD. Has anyone used one before? I just want to do a bit of hacking really on a springy but generally well behaved cob.

they the pads with just a girth where you can attach stirrups.. made of felt.. I used to use one on my friends horse.. bit wobbly till you get used to it.. then they ok to ride in..

I've got one of their Premium ones. Huge knee rolls, padded pommel and cantle and you can put stirrups on as well if you want to. Always use safety stirrups though as there isn't a conventional stirrup bar on them, you have to put them through a fixed ring.

Oh and there's a grab handle on the front too, just in case you have any hairy moments!

They are great fun to ride in, superb quality and give you lots of security/stability whilst letting you really feel the horse's movement.

i have the premium one with knee rolls, i love it you can really feel the horse under you. If you are a well balanced rider you wont have a problem.
