Anyone been to a confidence clinic ???

Yes we had a small one at our yard a few weeks ago with Jo Cooper after having a very quick session with her at a seminar. It was fab and all 5 of us who attended got loads out of it. I went from being petrified to hack my mare out after a nasty accident last July to now hacking out fairly confidently and happily at least once a week for an hour a time and my friend who was terrified of cantering 20 metre circles is now doing them without feeling sick! Can highly recommend Jo and she usually works through phone consultations :)
 
Sounds like what i'm looking for but they all seem to be so far away ,i'm looking for one in Northants area any contacts ?

What a shame loljo we are in northants and I posted a few days before the event to see if anyone was interested as we had a space left. Give Jo a call though I'm sure she'll be able to help.
 
About 4 years ago I did a two-day course with Caroline Putus (lifelong horsewoman and NLP practitioner. She also writes for horse magazines in the subject of confidence.) Her website is www.enjoyriding.com

I had totally lost my nerve after a bad fall. I couldn't hack at all and I would sit in the middle of the school on the quietest of horses, crying with nerves!

After the clinic, and one follow-up one-to-one session with Caroline, I had learnt tools and techniques that have been helping me ever since. It literally transformed me as a rider!

Her clinics are usually based in Suffolk but she does travel and also does phone consultations.
 
Yes i was interested in her course but it was so expensive it worked out about £500 as i would also have to arrange a b/b or hotel and travel.
Phone consultation wouldn't really help need practical help really.
So i will keep looking.
 
Contact Jo - if you can get a small group together she might be able to do a session like she did for us especially as you are fairly local. She comes on here sometimes too!
