Anyone been to Brightwells Leominster/NPS sales

Has anyone been to the Leominster sales and particularly the specialist NPS sale?

Due to the mystery lameness of my dressage horse (vets still investigating) I am going to buy a large pony for dressage. Unfortunately funds are very limited so I am looking for a youngster ready to break. Having had one for my son I am keen on a riding pony or similar type.

Ive seen a couple that would be suitable to view but they are in Wales. So Im contemplating visiting next weeks Leominster sale, but do they have this type of pony normally?? or would I be better waiting for the NPS specialist sale? Does anyoneae any experience of price for this type of pony at these sales? i.e min 3yrs min 14.2 .

Yeah i go every now and again. You get quite a range of horses there and the prices vary on wether its a ''good turnout'' or not. last month good horses were going for peanuts, i was sitting on my hands!

Its worth a look.
 
Leominster sales does have some nice horses and ponies go through it but i wouldn't say that there were that many specific to what you want. I would advise you to study the catalogue before you set off to see if there is anything which fits the bill. How far away are you? If your not too far then it might be worth you coming for a visit a few times, its mostly the same kind of horses everyweek that go through so you can see for your self.

If you already brought a pony from the NPS and it was what you wanted and you saw others that you liked there then i'd wait for that one but could keep an eye on Leominster incase something comes up there.

I can't hazard a guess on the price but if you looking on the Bright Wells website there is a list of all the prices the horses and ponies sell for on there.

I think you are right, annoyingly its not until the end of August though.

Past results dont give the type only the name, sex and colour. Sales are hours away but I have ordered the next caalogue jut i case.

Id be interested in hearing of any similar good quality sales closer to east anglia if anyone knows of any.
