most important whats the atmosphere like and does santa come out and xmas carols sung, snow etc etc?

Yes you will get the whole Christmas Gala thing

Xmas Cracker is bound to be an SJ class - it might be the accumulative thing they jump during the show and gain points for their placings, not 100% though.

when they say acenture stakes, xmas craker etc etc dont you think it would be good to have the type of class in brackets along side these class "names"?

somewhere in the classes is a knockout (great fun) relay (another fun class) and several speed classes. As i go with a non horsey family they would much prefer to see this than a horse and rider doing the same course 30 times. in fact these classes would be great on tv

tell me about it left it too late and missed sat afternoon tickets. me and my mum are going to risk getting returns. not sure what our chances will be but if not will get a weekend in london in a 4* hotel (cheap lastmin.com deal) and go shopping and to a show or something!!

staying up the road at the hilton, going to see wicked on the sat eve (exceedindly great musical) ( last min for ticket as only 40.00.)

then sightseeing, harods etc. our family xmas weekend away. lots of atmosphere really makes xmas for me and the kids.

by the way tickets are selling on ebay for upwards of 150 for 2 tickets. i doubt there will be any returns.

Nowadays the information put out by Olympia is less than helpful - it used to be far better years ago! I'm about to post a message in Latest News about a change to the Sat night programme previously advertised. The schedule is available on the Dutch Federation website (would that the BEF would follow their lead in posting ALL international schedules for all disciplines - but they are so badly organised that on Thursday their front page stated that there is a CSI at The Hand this weekend. They've now removed it, presumably because I sent an email pointing this out, though they've not had the courtesy to reply). The Christmas Cracker is a class straight against the clock over a big course. Should be good quality as it carries FEI Rider Ranking points. The top horses are more likely to start in this rather than the evening classes, which are a Table C 1.40m and the Puissance.

Yeah seen the ebay tickets but they are the £20 ones or restricted view!

There are normally returns to HOYS, we got some last year and they were front row seats! As said we going to make a weekend of it and are checking ticket website daily (will be many times week before daily) in hope some will come back, would have thought they would of....
