anyone been yelled at for buying H&H??? Bizarre!!

I got accused of being a jumped jolly hockey sticks snob by a lecturer at university once when he found out I was on the Uni riding team. Needless to say I told him where he could stick the paper we were talking about and left, and went straight to the Department Head that I didnt want that arrogant t****r anywhere near me again.
 
well i personally think buying horse and hound is far less offensive than buying porn and such like...in my opinion horse and hound is innocent and is sharing new and stories with like minded people where as porn is something on a whole different level that i shall not go into!
 
I like to confuse people by driving my coloured cob to the newsagents, dressed in rigger boots and overalls. I buy a H&H, The Sun and a packt of baccy.
 
Once whilst trotting through a less than salubrious area, a group of 10 yr old boys shouted -

Oi, I wish I was your saddle doll!!

I'm a proud anti however I have bought the odd H&H and simply miss out the hunting pages / articles. There's lots of other things in the mag to read. People do assume things though - everyone assumes just because I ride horses that I hunt...! Just like the CA woman who marched up to me at an event last year trying to get me to sign a petition for the hunting ban to be lifted - sod that! Told her a didnt support hunting and she looked at me with utter disgust. Just because I wear jods doesn't mean I hunt
