Anyone bought a horse from dressage horses international? Good/bad experience? Any idea of the prices?
I hate asking price range straightaway as it looks like you are only concerned about budget but nor do I want to chat away for ages and then find they are out of my league!

I haven't bought a horse from there but I did ride one which was on working livery at my old riding school over the summer. Absolutely lovely horse to ride, proper gentleman and very well trained but not to the point of being an automatron, still had a lovely slightly cheeky character

My friend bought a just backed 3yo direct from them about 3 years ago, and paid £10k. He's doing well with his dressage (what she bought him to do) and shows a nice pop too.

Nice people to deal with but the yard (can't remember which of the partner's it was, was up near Preston somewhere) wasn't half as posh as you'd expect. Very ordinary!
 
No but I do know Jo Wright who is married now to one of the partners as she used to be based down the road from me and also one of my work colleagues knows Ian very well so I get to hear lots of reports of how the horses go and I believe Heidi was in the Europeans this year. If they have a horse you are interested in go and look becuase it will be good, even the Ellbergs have brought horses from them. Their horses are not cheap over £10k I think
 
Nice horses but not cheap! Also the partners have so many contacts that anything really good usually goes to one of their many pupils for loads of dosh!! (and a promise of a team place??)
 
I'd rather have a cracking horse than a posh yard, anyday!! I bought my horse from DHI after looking all over the country and she wasnt the most expensive I looked at. She is a real quality mare and much admired, winning BD with a perfect temperament(on the right in my sig). Highly recommend!
