Yes, the mare in the photo.
When i spoke to the dealer, after i investigated due to her demeanour changing, he said it was impossible because 'her bits were wrong inside, the ex-owner couldn't get her in foal and that's why she was being sold!'. He then called me back to say if she was in foal the old owner wanted her back!! ERR NO, she was so slim when i got her and still has 'trust issues' no way was she going anywhere.
4 months later a grey and white real gypsy colt arrived, 2 years later i still have him because he would end up on a certain 'circuit' i wouldn't wish for him. (don't know what i am going to do with him - but i will always be his owner)

Edit How old is your filly? Exciting..

My little microcob gave her previous owners a BOGOF filly. Dad must have been a chunk because baby was bigger than mum by a year old.

Neighbour's thought their donkey was having a hemorrhage until a nose and tiny hooves appeared.

And then there's my friend who went to meet the vet for suspected colic just as her OH yelled from the stable that there was a foal

Photos obligatory

Oh god! Lots of you then! My old mare was found to be in foal at end of 5 stage vetting but I didn’t get her until foal was weaned!
Luckily I’ve got my own 5 acre field with stables and about 3 acres of knee height grass! But stressing majorly as if she is in foal, it’s a late foal and Winter is hard enough anyway! I use electric fencing to subdivide too and ground is currently too hard to get wooden posts in? Also, she is only 2 1/2?? I’m actually sick with worry at the moment? I’ve got two others too! The thought of four through Winter is pretty daunting ?

It’s highly unlikely (not impossible) that a 2yr old is in foal so hopefully scan will be negative.
Has she been well wormed since you got her?
Friends little cob with suspected colic was only 3 when her BOGOF popped out. She was pretty thin for a cob so they had no idea. Mum and baby are now both tanks

I’ve known a 2yo give birth (vet’s best estimate was that she was 2.5yo when she gave birth, based on tooth evidence of when she turned 3) so she must have been 18 months old when covered ?‍♀️.

My daughter’s pony arrived in-foal last year. Vet said he didn’t think she was, the week before she gave birth ?. To be fair, she wouldn’t let him do an internal, so…

I don't think the vet will need to use their scanner, just a manual feel should be adequate if she's that size. (cheaper!)
Are you just a little excited?
If it was Spring then would be fine! Really nervous about having a Winter foal! Although to be fair, last year my other two were out 24/7 most of Winter on 2 acres! I had to get sheep on in Spring for other two acres! Then topped! Just worried as only have 12x12 stables so worried too small for foaling!

That’s a foal belly if ever I saw one! Shouldn’t think you’ll need the scanner. Have you had a good feel of her sides today? Likely you’ll be able to feel the foal kicking.
Farrier was convinced he could feel/ see foal kicking! I’m not sure! Although I think I can but then think it’s coz I think she is!?‍♀️

She maybe more comfortable foaling out? I have to agree that does look a suspicious belly. Is she in a field with access to a shelter?
Nope! But I do have an open shelter in yard that she could have access to! I’m just super stressed as not put any post and rail in field apart from around yard! I’m wondering if I can temporarily use 40mm tape with plastic posts until I can get wooden posts in?

Glad you have a vet coming to look- always wise to know what you’re dealing with. I wonder if she’s too far gone to establish whether it’s a single foal or twins? Twins happened as a BOGOF to someone I was on a yard with once and they’d have been much better knowing.
