Any chance you could post a piccie or go have a nosey on the ariat website, you'll soon know which ones you've got

Have to say, I'd be VERY surprised if the devon pros were being sold at £42 - that's a 1/3 of their original price.

Shall go take a pic now. I don't think they are think they are slightly different underneath.

They were in a January sale with 75% off. Luckily I have kept my order conformation email with it stating Devon Pro!! Usually I delete them as soon as the arrive!

Off to take pic just a mo!

i've got a pair off ebay that had the "cobalt paddock boot" label on as well. these are the ones with 3 diagonal 'stripes' in the plastic bit below/behind the instep, if you see what i mean. i think they're about £75 new.
will look fwd to seeing the pic of OP's, as i'm still not absolutely sure which ones mine are!

That sounds like the ones I have got them (not happy!)
Just trying to upload pics now comp on a go slow!

Here is a bit I have copied from my confirmation email

Thanks.
I knew it!! Didn't think they were suppose to have yellow on the bottom.

Write shall be on to them on the phone tomorrow & see what they say. Shall let you know. Was from a BIG equstrian mail order company so....

Can't pull the wool over my eyes!!

Not 100% sure but the ones i can see on the ariat website are the new versions, these look like old versions. The ones with ble treads are the more expensive ones!!
Ring up and complain, you cant lose!
Customers always right!

Thats what I am going to do but more so because the tag on them said they were paddock boots. If it had said Devon Pro then I wouldn't be bothered!
Shall let you all know the outcome!!

Well have just rung them & they said to send them back they will refund be the P&P to send them back & will forward on the correct boots!

We will wait & see!

I bought a pair of boots from the same large mail order company - havent got them yet, but I am expecting the ones with the zip, not laces (which are the paddock boots). Like you I paid £40 which is a fab bargain as long as they are what they said they were. I thought if they didnt fit me I can sell for double the price on ebay anyway...

I have some Cobalt XR Devon Pro. Trying to get some pics for you they are waxed chocolate have a style of 54426. They have blue soles but look different to yours they don't have the yellow bits. The tag you pull the boot on with is blue. The heels on mine look chunkier and have silver triangles in the side. There's stitching across the toes not punched holes like yours. Mine were £149 new last year. I think they have discontinued the colour cordovan. Think you may have the Heritage range which is normally about £75. Just sort of know as looked into them before I bought such expensive boots!!
Let me know if yo want me to put on some pics of mine will try!!

Now you've got me going! I think you do have the right boots though! look at these on ebay Item number: 290196372089. I think they may just be an old style. Mine are the latest style if you look on the Ariat web site at the Cobalt XR Devon Pro boots.

If you could post pics that would be great.
Yea mine sounds like the same deal as yours if yours turn up! Just check they are the right boots!
What got me was the label on the boots said Ariat Cobalt Paddock Boot

I ordered the Devon Pro, thought they were on great offer as you say the cordovan is a dicontinued colour they have gone chocolate but I prefer the cordovan!

Jammy - they're the devon pros, just an older design in the colour they've stopped doing, which would explain the mark down.

They're the EXACT ones I've got and paid about £150 for them at the time.

You'll know whether they're the cheaper ones or not if you lift the sole up from inside the boot. The more expensive ones have a gel packet in them, the cheaper ones don't.

ETS: you can see the gel in the heel in one of your pics

Hi there,

I agree that these look like genuine Devon Pros; they look the same underneath and in toe cap stitching as the (several) pairs I have, and they were all from an expensive legit saddlery where I used to work, lol !
I too prefer the cordovan colour to the new chocolate, so I'd say you've got yourself a bargain there.

Cheers I have an old original pair of DP's that I bought 8 yrs ago & have finally just given up the ghost! They look like these but have the yellow ariat mark on the pull tab not blue.
It was just that the label on them callen them Paddock Boots I thought I was going to be double jammy & get a pair of the new ones for nothing!!

Just as a postscript. These are ariat cobalt devon pro's but an older model. The latest is the Ariat Cobalt XR Devon Pro. I've just bought a pair direct from the USA - half price and reasonable postage so worth a look if you are looking again. Still would be great boots at that price though.
