Anyone built stabling without planning permission?

Not sure about the age thing but if you delve deep enough there usually is an age attainment for most official positions to avoid the possiblity of a faction putting a minor in post which obviously begs the question of influence. America has age stipulation for all public offices written up the their Constitution.

My mare lived in a parished area but five miles away I don't - it was put to a Referendum recently - and I lost that one too!

You might not want a minor, if you can be an MP at 18 you'd presume you could manage the heady heights of the parish council :p
 
Countryfile ran a good piece on planning last night, I bet the 2 companies mentioned have had to employ more staff today to cope with enquiries about their services :)

Probably won't need PP for the structure itself, but if you plan on putting pigs on land that did not previously have them, this might well count as "change us use", and require PP.

Especially if you count on doing this in your back garden in the middle of town.

My parents' freehold covenant specifically forbade making soap, burning bricks and keeping pigs.

Thanks no pigs - just planned to use it as a hay store.
 
Be warned about 'mobile shelters and stables':

Two of my local councils now BOTH say they require planning permission for mobile shelters / stables even if on skids. Guess they realised they were missing out on a huge amount of planning permission fees. At nearly £400 an application (thats without any changes or adjustments to be added on if its not quite right). So please be careful

What are you then supposed to do if you move them across the field? Apply again? Seems a bit silly to me and not sure it’ll catch on.
 
Not sure if this would help anyone planning on putting up field shelters, although I'm certain no 2 area's are the same

I have never been asked about my shelters on skids although I do like to move them quite often when weather permits, anyone asking me if I move them is no problem, google earth makes it crystal clear

As a guide OP, Im in Aberdeenshire and I had to get planning for a wooden block of 3 large stables (1 used as a tackroom). They were right beside my garden in their field. My block was too big to not get planning. When I looked into it, I think I could only really get away with a field shelter size on skids. So depends how big you want really. If its on skids so "movable" then you can get away without. It didnt cost me that much to get planning, certainly not £500 that you mention? Aberdeenshire Council seem to be pretty good about granting planning for things at the moment. I certainly didnt have any issues, they only questioned the drainage.
