Anyone clipping yet?

My NF mare is already starting to look like a mammoth, and is really sweaty out hunting and when jumping. I'm going to clip her either 1st week of October or the week after that, just depends how much more of a coat she grows....*Walks out house and looks into stable...*
 
God no, I couldn't be bothered starting so early. Mine still have summer coats despite being out at night in the Pennines. I've just put lightweight turnouts with necks on at night to try and persuade them not to grow coats for a bit. My mare sweats a lot all year round, it's not an issue until it takes a while to dry her.

I usually don't clip until Nov as we have a yard bonfire and they stay out at night til then, but this year we're not having it, so I may clip earlier.
