Just wondered what ground/fences were like? Do they turn horses out there so it gets all churned up?
They do a pic n mix pairs so I could do bigger fences and still give a lead to slightly nervous friend over smaller fences
Thanks

Ground is ok, can get a bit hard but I did xc on the weekend there and it was good.
It's not churned up, however in the wood area it is really boggy and there are a lot of tree roots to watch out for.
The fences are all pretty basic, some of them are in pretty ropey condition though. All basically logs, tyres, steps, a water complex.
Hope this helps!

I competed there towards the end of last year in the pic n mix pairs the type of fences perfect for what i required as I was leading a young horse. The ground was fine however the woods were boggy then aswell.

thanks

It was your video that inspired me to look it up. Looks like good fun and we are only about 45 mins from there.
Aiming prob for April so hopefully ground will not be too hard then
Thanks

Yeah their eventer's challenge was really fun

It's a good venue because it doesn't normally get very crowded, there were only 12 people in both the classes I entered.

I may go to the hunter trial, but the last time I did a hunter trial there my horse ran out at a jump, threw me off then buggered off and ran back to the trailer!
Luckily that didn't happen when I did the eventer's challenge
