Is there anywhere that does reining local to us (I'm close to Burford)?

Otherwise I can rope you into tentpegging which involves shooting a revolver whilst jumping. Mounted shooting might be a step too far, as the revolvers with the blocked barrels per UK gun laws are a bit crap so you need to get really close!

That sounds fun but my reiners have enough problems negotiating a pole on the ground, let alone a jump! They'd just stop and push it over :)

Your nearest reining place would be Borland Quarter Horses at Pillerton Hersey up the Fosse - Cotswolds isn't renowned yet for reining arenas! But I've got both of mine at Ascott at the moment :)

They just have a rope tied to a saddle?? That can't be ok surely That white horse looks like he's not liking it al all.

The grey horse is called Rohan and in that picture he is being held back hence why his head is away in the air, he actually loves the horse boarding. Kat who started the thread was his jockey last season and her, Rohan and DFP are the current national horse boarding champions. :)

Horse Boarding is endorsed by St Georges Vet Group and is one of the safest sports out there for horse and rider. The harness is wrapped around the saddle so that the weight is equally distributed and onto which the tow rope is connected by a safe release clip.

For anyone interested in taking part in HB next season which should be even more exciting than last season, there are currently two training centres. One in Wolverhampton and one in Scotland which is just outside Edinburgh (which is owned by me :D)

It is really a fun sport!! :D

I want to start trick riding next year but not sure if i have the b**ls for it!! lol
