anyone doing Natural horseman courses?

:confused::confused:I've been looking for someone to either come and help or take my daughters pony on to help him - is anyone doing any courses that they would like to have a test pony with ground issues to work with? Not sure if I can post details here so sorry if I am not meant to - new user
 
Hmmm, difficult one this. Sometimes it can help to "send away" a horse/pony for re-schooling or whatever, BUT the bottom line is when it goes back to the owner!!! If the issues that caused the original problem havn't been addressed, then the pony/horse will only go back to previous bad habits and it will have been a waste of money.

A lot of people who do remedial work are saying the same basically, and I know there are some who would not agree to take a case UNLESS the rider comes along too and/or the expert goes out to the client so horse & rider can work together, its pointless otherwise.

Have you tried Michael Peace? He might be able to help you?

I think there are Monty Roberts demo's coming up (sorry can't remember where when) - is this what you meant?, but again, IMO having your horse used for one of these demo's would be a quick fix and I would personally be sceptical about any lasting good being done.
 
If you pm me I will put you in touch with someone in Nailsworth, would that help? She works with people with their horses, is quite young and is very good. She is also a lot cheaper than Michael Peace.
