Well my shetlands were doing zoomies round the field tonight, so I'd say yes, they are feeling well at the moment! They are quite sedentary during the summer, probably because they only really have a summer coat for a few weeks, so find it too warm to run around.

Didn't realise quite how bruised my arm was until someone in the gym approached me to ask if I was okay and whether I wanted to chat about anything.... really sweet thing to do really.
He was an angel to school Thursday PM, and then professional rider friend came to try him in the middle of the day on Friday - she said I wasn't wrong and he definitely takes issue with being ridden in the middle of the day as she could feel his back being up and that if she let him have more room he would go. Coupled with the time of year it's a perfect storm really!
He's being clipped tomorrow.....

Mine wont work if its first thing in the morning. He gets very angry and upset that his friends are out and he isnt. Getting a 500kg ADD horse to listen isnt my idea of fun. So I only work him after he's been out all day.
Also if he has to come in before his friends he is beyond slow....

hacked this PM, sprightly but kept a lid on it! Glad to hear it’s not just me! Pro rider friend is going to school twice a week day time for the rest of the month, if there’s no improvement then I’ll accept it’s an error of my own doing and only ride him first or last thing

Yes unfortunately I have had to learn this the hard way. I have tried and tried and tried. But horse has a very strong opinion and not afraid to voice it (he has also play-"bitten" me or if I am wearing my country boots he will play with the laces when I have been chatting with vet or others and not paying attention to himThat should have said Monday, not tomorrow! he doesnt actually bite thankfully). OH thinks it's hilarious....to some extent it is but it is also annoying at times!!!
