Anyone else a poor scruff like me?

I tend to demote my clothes from normal wear to yard wear so my clothes are ok for the yard and I don't look too bad I don't think.

When we were on holiday in Feb hubby did comment that it was nice that I didn't smell or horses all the time!!

I also spend a fortune on the horses - they get whatever they need (or often dont even need), I however cant remember when I last bought clothes (unless horse competition ones) for myself!

Have to say that Im also a total scruff at home. I wear baggy combats or loose jogging type trousers with BRIGHT STRIPY knee length socks OVER the top pulled up with muckers, and whatever scruffy jumper or filthy jacket. BUT luckily I keep my horses at home so nobody really sees me. I dont know WHAT Id wear if I was on a yard! I look on Ebay every nown and again and buy any cheapo gear I see, like a bought an Equenox over-head jacket not long ago, worn once for a fiver :P

I spend money on myself as and when needed and spend money on the horse all the time! Since xmas she has had a new saddle and bridle she could have lived without lol. I only wear jods for riding so on the yard I wear track suit bottoms and old sweatshirts but its ok because its my own yard so no one to frown at my dress sence!

I must be really, really weird!

If I am hacking out, I normally wear my Primark jeans (£6) and a Joules polo top, with either a jumper/hoody, gilet (Joules) or my yard coat (musto) with my Ariat Grasmeres, or muckers (Joules) and chaps, and my skull cap with a bright cover on.

If I am having a lesson, either flat or jump, I wear my breeches (Joules, or Caldene) a Joules polo top (that matches my breeches) and a gilet, with my long leather boots, with my bright skull cap on!

For competing/hunting, it's Joules breeches, a stock shirt and my hacking jacket, with either my Patey or skull cap with a black cover.

have you noticed the Joules theme?

I like to be smart, it makes me feel better, and then I ride better.
