Cruel mummy i am!! I was only intending to wash her legs and her tail then thought id do her mane then her neck and got carried away!! Bless her she was as good as gold! I had forgotten how much scrubbing her feather takes though, its the 1st time since September her feather has been washed as i dont do it in the winter, felt like my back was breaking!! So who else has been scrubbing today then? We have the 1st show of the season tomo anyone else off anywhere?
My back feels a bit better after some nurofen and a pint of raspberry cider!!!

Rode my lad today and he got really sweety was just going to hose down but ended up having the works:D feathers still arn't white but i've got till 24th till my first show

Bathed my dog and horse today, beautiful day and they both looked fab after. Pulled mane and tidied tail, love it when they are clean.

It was acutally pretty hot here today so my daughters scrubbed their loan pony from head to foot - first bath she's had in about four years. She was as good as gold and allowed my five year old to wash her face!

Yep, both mine had baths after my lesson! It was 6:30 and they still dried standing outside in 15 mins, it was really rather sunny!

Yes, both horses done in preparation for Sponsored Ride. Mind you it was a bit of a waste of time as one decided good idea to go and roll the minute he was turned out! Hey ho

Yes, bathed the Cob as its OH's first time out in the show ring tomorrow - only local though to get him a bit of experience.

Bathed Mick too after his lesson.

Bathed my Section D today, he has his first show of the season tomorrow, He looked stunning all clean and wet watching the walkers on the moors opposite our stables.
We are off to the Royal Lancashire pre season show at croft top. we are doing the in hand welsh and ridden M+M large breeds.
Fingers crossed all goes well and we manage to stop after the gallop.
Good luck tomorrow, what classes are you doing?

hehe, yes 3 bathed on our yard today, all owned by different people, the horses just got quite warm after being worked, so a wash down turned into a full bath for all 3!!

Here's my girl sparkling clean afterwards!!!

OK I admit photo was taken when she was still wet!!! hahaha, her normal shine is nearly as good!!

Ours get a bath every time they come back from the gallop - so can be up to 3 times a week all through the winter - always use hot water - lots of hibiscrub and then a V good anti-wicking rug. If I am honest it is easier than grooming on a daily basis (which we don't have time to do - and the ultra-sensitive TB's hate anyway!) BUT, the horse we did today, really enjoyed having a bath in the sun - and is looking forward to running tomorrow (at P2P, so wish us luck!)

I have a gray - I have been bathing pretty much through the whole winter! albeit partial and warm baths but yup, he has faced water pretty frequently so we have the whole process down to a T now...
