anyone else braved the weather today?

i had the horse dentist booked for 10, so was at the yard and wet anyway, so i thought stuff it, i'm still going out. i'm wet, horse is wet so its not gonna make much difference. i actually quite like riding in the rain. just had a quiet plod round the roads else we'd hve got blown off our hill!!!!

I'm seriously considering it. Need to go up and check/groom/feed the boy anyway so will assess when I get there. I suspect, however, that the 50mph gusts of wind we are getting is what will make me chicken out rather than the rain.

Yes, and regretted it, not due to rain but the wind. Horse was wound up tense and nervous. Then tried to gallop off when saw a tractor. NOT fun!

I'm hoping to ride later, will take waterproof chaps to the yard and dig out the Besties waterproof exercise sheet. Hopefully we won't get to wet!

I dont mind getting wet, its my tack. I didnt bother today, turned out, mucked out and home.

Nope! Staying indoors today! Just got the girls in as it is really horrid. Will go back up later to muck out e.t.c. but as for riding, No way!

I have been out already, got pretty well drenched. And are my horses using the lovely new shelter I bought them no, they are hiding in the hedge ... why do I bother!!!

It is absolutely foul here - went out earlier and sorted out the stables so they could come in and dry off - need to clip them - so they are in and drying off with a small haystack each! First time they have been in their stables since about March!!

Yes been out and fed the mares and foals and then waited for the hay man to deliver the hay standing half in and half out of the container so I could see when he came. Helped put the hay in then came home to dry off, got to go back out again later to feed the boys, but I am hoping weather will be dry by then, but its not looking good yet.
