The land around our stables is disgusting. Ankle deep in slosh and mud and now growing rather a nasty green algae on it. Our fields are fine, but the yard is a nightmare. Our little companion pony is loose in stable yard at night and in the morning you have to fish the floating droppings out of the puddles. (She does have dry ground though and a dry shelter if he wanted to go in it!).

When is this bloody rain going to stop?

Now I just know you're going to hate me but..... after having fields like swamps at the end of Feb/beginning of March we actually dried up a bit (well, the fields did - I'm still wittering on) and yesterday was glorious sunshine all day! Proper spring!! (baby bunnies hopping amongst the primroses on the verges etc).

Ditto - argh - don't have a school and the 'schooling field' has been perfect since I moved there, but now is lethal. And I keep slipping over. It's raining again and I have just done the world's wimpiest call to new instructor...'I'm ill....sniffle.' I'm not really ill, I just don't want him to get on the pony and her to slip over - watching her on slippery stuff makes me cringe.

Stop raining!!! (So not leaving the house today...)

Its just so depressing isn't it?! Was a beautiful day yesterday and today back to wind and rain. And the forecast isn't looking much better. I can't see our fields ever drying out enough to get the horses out 24/7

Ours had just dried up nicely, and it now it's back to sludge. I keep slipping over too. I was really hoping to have the stabled horses out by now, but Easter was too grim. Bored now.
