Really bad shoulder pain after lugging heavy haynets around?

My boy has soaked hay in massive haynets as he eats literally non stop. Even after they've been drained they are incredibly heavy.

I'm guessing this is the reason I've felt like I've had a dead arm for the last 2 days, to the point where I couldn't sleep last night. Has anyone else suffered with this?

instead of just 1 heavy one, why dont u do 2 lighter ones...

Push them in a wheelbarrow? saves your shoulders and back!

He has 3 big ones at night, he'd have to have about 6 normal haynets to last the night! And they are small holed nets, he just doesn't come up for air. And yes I've resorted to using a wheel barrow now, finally clocked that its much easier that way. Wish I'd realised it sooner though

Sounds like you've trapped a nerve or got frozen shoulder. I'd give your physio or gp a call come Monday. Ditto others lug it into a wheelbarrow

I'm guessing he needs the amount, not just because he is greedy?
One winter my mare looked amazing on the haylage we had, but would eat it so fast. I ended up having two haylage nets one inside the other to really slow her down.

Well he's about an ideal weight, and soon to be brought back into work and he always drops weight over winter. It's more because I don't want him running out of forage and then standing there with an empty tummy. He's a big lad at 17hh so thankfully it isn't making him fat, plus it's soaked for ages so I don't think there is much nutrition left in it.
