We've recently changed Jack over to Beta, he loves it and the different size kibbles are brill as he has to chew his food instead of inhaling it. Not only that but it's half the price of his old stuff...

One problem....does anyone else find it gives their pooch smelly wind??

Gah we're getting really stuck then....he piles on weight with everything but this or JWB and is too possessive over bones (but not food...I can take it away/put my hand in etc) to feed raw. JWB gives him awful breath and he gobbles it far too quickly and sometimes makes himself sick.

To be honest I'm not that fond of the idea of feeding him raw, and certainly don't want to crate train him, he's slightly claustrophobic already (no idea why). Back to the drawing board I suppose....

Hi I used to feed beta no problems but as I grew wiser I changed it as the ingredients are quite mixed it has the 'pedigree effect' making the dog smell. I feed James well beloved (no smell hurrah!)

I know its a little more expensive but you dont have to feed as much and you know whats in it. Burns too do good food a few of my friends feed this with good results.

Crikey I wouldn't have time to take mine's raw away a whole carcase goes in seconds! He probably lets you take the dried away cus he doesnt think much of it.

No we just taught him from a puppy that if we decided to take his food we would. We have small children in the family and I made sure I didn't have a food aggressive dog....the dried goes as quickly as have can possibly eat it.

Do you not find JWB gives them bad breath though? I really hated it for that, plus I just can't afford it anymore, even less so when I'm on my own
