Christmas and soggy arena have stopped my usual routine and I feel bad. He had 1 lesson, couple of schooling sessions and couple of hacks in the last 2 weeks. And now I have flu! Illness and guilt, anyone else struggling at the mOment?

I havent ridden for several weeks now, ill health, too busy, usual stuff at this time of year. My boys dont mind though, they get plenty of turn out. I might lunge before I sit on them first though ....

I've always said I have an overactive guilt gland! My boy has been turned out since the 12th then in his (new and lovely) stable since xmas eve due to weather (boggy fields) and busy schedule  Also feelin a bit sad coz I haven't even managed to get on him for 2 weeks... BOOOO!

Yep! My horse hasn't been ridden for 3 weeks, daughter ponies have had a little hack here and there...been so busy with work, xmas, crappy weather etc...I'm sure they don't mind though they still get seen to twice a day and seem quite contentedb

not at all. as long as my horse gets a leg stretch everyday and is fed and warm he couldn't give a rat's ass whether he's ridden or not....

Mine don't really get turn out through the winter so I'm currently trying to work full time and exercise both 6/7 days a week

So I don't feel guilty .... I feel knackered ;)

Roll on the spring, 24 hour turn out and a holiday for the boys (and me!!)

Frustrated yes, guilty no

Mine are all out 24/7 at the moment, happily mooching about. They are checked every day and fed and all are happy :D.

I've had a stinking cold. Felt better yesterday, rode for half an hour, brought all the Hairy Gang in (so lots of hiking to and from the field), then spent the evening and half of today feeling rubbish again . So, tomorrow I'll ride if I am back in the land of the living and if I'm not, I'll go and drink coffee with a friend instead :D
