i bought one for Rio on tuesday and i only put it on him today - i bought it in a 5'9ft but its more like a 6'3/6'6

also what does everyone think of them? i quite like the wither pads i think thats a good idea and the fleece inside the neck to stop the wind... apparently they dont rub the mane... im hoping not otherwise i will be annoyed! i dont think the shoulder gussets come up high enough either but then its not that big across the chest and the neck bit isnt that wide but then i have got it on a stallion :o

i bought this instead of the amigo hero 6 -1 piece as they said that the neck cover would be too small but im not sure :o

i didnt really want a combo - i wanted a detachable neck but they are so hard to find without paying £50 just for the blooming neck cover!!

anyway incase you have no idea what im talking about its this one -

Yes, gutted! My horse is always a 6'3 so that's what I bought in a sale and I loved it....until a month later when horse was clipped and I find out its absolutely massive on him and I had to sell on Ebay as id left it too late to return.

yeah its lucky that rio seems to be able to fill up a 6'3 even though he is only a 5'9 its only slightly too big but i was supprised as i could easily put it on my 17.2hh without a problem!

I think they are probably a bit on the generous side. But its the only type of rug I buy for my Welsh cob, the fit is perfect on him and only having combos I've never had any problems with mane rubbing...but thats just one horse :)

My weatherbeeta rugs are definitely bigger than the equivalent sized Amigos. The weatherbeeta is too big and the Amigo is too small. Trust me to have a horse who takes a 5' 11" ;)

ordered the 6ft instead of 5ft 9 as in the genero that does not really cover his bottom, but it is a bit big wish i had sent it back for the 5 9 but heyho. i got the one with detachable neck in a medium from rideaway for about 120, not bad for two rugs in one, love the clip front, love weatherbeeta!

see i have always found they come up fine on taz who is 6'6 they always come up the right size so thats why iwas a little supprised... i bought the joules stripy one for taz last year in 6'6 and that is the perfect size :o maybe its just me!

I bought a Weatherbeeta Freestyle combo for my lad who is always a 7ft, even in Premier Equines which come up big. The WB swamps him! I wish i'd sent it back for a smaller size but I had to put it straight on him as i'd clipped him and didn't have another MW.

I have never really had any issues over the size of weatherbeeta rugs, both of my horses are in them and they fit perfectly, they wear did wear the same size in masta and premier equine but I moved on to weatherbeeta as found the fit much better. I have found that horseware rugs came up very tight around the neck on both of mine, but they do have large necks, with one being a very late cut gelding :)

We have the new weatherbeeta freestyle combo in a 6ft 3" which I thought came up quite big! Not a problem though as horse is 4 so going to grow. It is bigger than her weatherbeeta genero medium though!

I see it the other way round in that I had WBs and then found Horseware and Mark Todds too tight round the shoulders.

I've also found it does depend a little on the model though, the Landa I bought was too tight on the shoulders (sold it to a friend) whereas the turnouts I have which are Takas are generous. With the stable rugs the highgrove is quite shallow but suits one of my tbs and the belmont comes up deeper.
