I'm not talking about having a sulk because I haven't won. I mean the sad, flat kind of feeling when the adrenaline's worn off.

Tends to be worse jumping than dr, & worse when I've done well than badly. Also seems to be worse the higher I've been jumping. Maybe jumping higher produces more adrenaline, so it makes me feel lower when it wears off?

I'm not usually a depressed kind of person - I'm normally the energiser bunny.

Someone tell me it isn't just me?? Plus any ideas for getting over it, please?

I get that too.. i'll tell you about the worst time i had it.. that should make you feel better..

The year 2001, end of the season and i go to my first CCI* (first international 3day event).. A guy i have a bit of a 'thing' for get's a lift if my lorry with his horse (he doesn't know i like him).. We spent a great week together having a great time!!! travel home, say good-by the guy.. and someone rings up out the blue and offers money we can't turn down for the horse.. horse is sold and taken away 2 days later....

So i've gone from a week of excitment at an international event with my horse and man of my dreams, to the whole lot going.. to say i was depressed after that was an understatment.... as i had nothing to do i remember a friend asking if i'd go and help them muck out an old deep litter stable.. hmmm..

You'll get over it!! just start planning the next comp. that usually make me feel better!!
