Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone else was at Arena UK last night for the Pammy Hutton demo? I really enjoyed it, was great to see the way she works - and all the other riders/horses were fantastic. Found the most interesting bits when something didnt quite go to plan and how she deals with it - like when Nemo struggled with the onetime changes in the freestyle Charlie did - was really good! real insight into how the pro's do things.

Been thinking about a school master lesson at Talland with her for a while, and last night has definitely cemented the decision to go in my head - going to try phoning today to try and arrange it. anyone been there and had a session with Pammy that can let me know what its like?

Bit pointless, but would definitely recommend to anyone who has any interest in dressage to go and watch a demo by her if they get the chance!

I went to a Pammy Hutton demo years ago at Markfield. She was there with Jeremy Spring and Ken Clawson - it was excellent and very inspiring!

I think i remember seeing the Markfield demo advertised years ago. I learnt to ride and spent most of my childhood/teen weekends at Ken Clawsons yard - he really does do a great demo - would recommend a chance to see him too. think he's back out and about again now.

I have seen Pammy many times, she used to come down to Ardingly in East Sussex. The thing I liked about her, is that she really seems to like her horses and treats them like her friends, rather than aa a way to earn her living. She was always concerned about doing things in a way to make them happy.

Tracey01 - yes i agree, one of the most poignant things she said last night was 'you have to remember that your horse is your best friend'

Also all the horses really listened to her voice - and immediately knew when she was about to give out polos!!

I have had lessons with Pammy and she is brilliant. So down to earth, she explains things in a way they can be understood & because I am not perfect she can always find another way for me to learn & to teach my horse. Wish I lived nearer to Talland!
