Playing it by ear I think with the weather, it was too nice to wrap them up and field is pretty dry for now... 1st sign of rain and rugs will be back out though!

Yep, all 3 went out with lightweight rugs on but the sun was so warm they all started sweating and I removed them

It was lovely for them to have the sun on them for a change

My boy has been naked since those warm days a few weeks ago as he is so happy naked and we haven't had the rain so he has stayed warm with loads of haylage when it's cold but dry. We probably won't put it ona again this winter but we'll see how the weather goes.

Yes, took mine out for a hack late morning, and left him without until about 4.30. He was NOT amused at having his rug back on but having just heard the weather forecast I know he will need it later.

Yep - I took Jerry's off last week as he was feeling really itchy. Hopefully I will be able to leave it off as he is unclipped and he has more weight on now than he did at the beginning of winter.
Not looking forward to having to groom 17hands of grey horse in order to ride at the weekend though!

Yep! Then tonight I scraped the mud off, put on turnouts & put them back in the field with tons of hay rather than keep them in. I know it's going to be a bit cold but it's dry & still & judging by their reactions they thought it was a good idea! They'll be back in when the weather turns but days like this are too good to miss,

Took the rug off the shire x on Saturday as he is a bit fat and it's not too cold, hopefully he'll use a bit of extra energy keeping warm. Last year he got a touch of dermatitis and he is a bit itchy this year but no sign of the dermatitis, as it is dry he hasn't got muddy despite enjoying his rug free rolls. Pony has a blanket clip so he only gets his neck cover off at the moment. They are both in at night.

Yep - nekkid since Saturday during the day, rugged at night and left out with hay (except Monday night when we had rain and wind you wouldn't believe).

Rotten forecast here for Friday - pouring again.
