I've just bought a new 3yo, by Franklyn Sugar (Furst Heinrich, Florestan) out of a Temple Der Konig mare. Sire is of course dressage, I hadn't heard of TDK before but apparently a dual purpose stallion and my new boy's dam was a showjumper.

It was a bit of a random purchase, but excited about him coming to us at the end of the month. So has anyone else got something with similar breeding? Would love to see/hear about them! I'm not sure what I'll do with mine yet - either lightly back and sell on or possibly keep and compete next year depending on time and how many horses I have on the go.

He's a gorgeous colour - born black (sire black, dam grey) and is gradually going grey, but is more like a blue roan at the moment. Will hopefully make him stand out a bit! He's been grass kept all his life and has a lot of growing to do, think he needs to fill out a bit before any work commences.

Rubbish picture but at least gives an idea of his colour! More to follow no doubt once he's home...

There's a filly on Obie's yard by him. :) Afraid there's not a lot to say about her as she's not yet 6 months, but she's very sweet and has been very easy to handle.

You'll probably get a better response if you post on the British Dressage forum.

Florestan usually gives very good rideability.

I have a gelding by Florencio (Florestan, Weltmeyer) out of a mare with show jumping lines (Silvio 1, Sandro, Damiro)
He's got a super temperament but can be a bit quirky but that's supposedly from his dam's side through Sandro.
I bought him for dressage.
