I don't think greyhounds are made for snow :D

Certainly not, and this one is definitely not. Rain also melts them apparently so that's a big no too!

Your dogs look much more at home in the snowy landscape :)

Eta - just remembered I've booked the secure field for tomorrow morning so I hope she won't mind a good frost too much!

You ain’t kidding! Took over 10 minutes to defrost the car (including de-fogging) this morning, then I had playground duty for 20 minutes. I was glad I took the big coat!

I know I have just been outside to get mine in and it's freezing, everywhere is covered in frost already I just hope it's lovely and sunny like it was today I may just get to ride at about 2pm when it's at its warmest.

No. But it's several below freezing and yet it has somehow rained yet again. I have feelings on this that I can't post here....but I've gritted the junction outside our house in anticipation of tomorrow's black ice fest.

No snow yet, but despite a bright sun yesterday, everywhere remains white and glistening under a hard frost. Its very slippery, but judging by the speed of the cars zooming through the village, they must have very grippy tyres.

Mine loves the snow but I think she's a greyhound not wired right as she 'needs' 3 walks a day, isn't bothered by any weather and hates wearing a coat :D She is defo a retired racing greyhound as I remember her arriving at kennels to be rehomed, just a mad one!! I got pestered this morning to go out in the snow before breakfast!

I came over the 702 from Abington over to Edinburgh bypass, and saw the first dusting of snow.
I also saw some beautiful Christmas lights, the best part of the long winter nights !

Ah, feeling nostalgic again. Going over the 702 to Edinburgh meant my run was almost finished. Funny it’s where I almost always found the snow!

I'm in East Devon and we had a dusting which started just after 8 this morning.

Sun looks like its trying to come through; hopefully it will all melt off later on or else the roads here will be very slippy. We're thinking of riding-out later on - both horses barefoot - but we will see how things are before venturing out. It was puppy's first experience of snow - he wasn't sure how he felt about the Cold Stuff falling from the sky. Poor little man.

Dang weather has got boring TBH; I work as a Teaching Assistant and one minute you're in an overheated classroom and the next you're out on playground duty in sub-zero temperatures. Body doesn't know what the heck it should do! Won't be sorry when normality returns.

Would anyone be kind enough to give me a bit of guidance about paws and when is too cold to walk them etc? This is my first dog and I haven't a clue, I'm scared about him getting frost bite because of my ignorance! Should I buy him boots?
