Anyone else haggle with insurance renewals?

I work at an insurance company and i'd say only 10-15% of clients query the price of the renewal!
Always question it as quite often there is a bit of wiggle room (sometimes alot) that we don't know we need to use unless you ask!

I dont insure my horses (am with the BHS for 3rd party) but I always haggle my household insurance and it does work -with the NFU anyway!

I was with NFU for years with my mare, never claimed but it went up over double this year, tried haggling but got me absolutely no-where 
Have had to change company because cannot justify spending the amount they wanted but gutted because she had loss of use in case anything ever happened (having sadly lost 2 horses previously) & now probably wouldn't pass a full vetting to get it again. On the plus side I'm now paying alot less and have much higher tack etc cover. Seems odd how one company can charge a little and another alot for same cover
