I harrowed my Summer field today! Never harrowed in February before😊 Can’t believe how Green everything is!🙈 Even the 2 1/2 acre Winter field that all three have been on 24/7 over Winter is green🙈 I know we need some rain but I don’t need anymore grass!

I have asked farmer about doing it but he says its too early. We will get some more wet weather soon and will need doing again. Dont know if thats true what I was told.

We moved to our spring fields on Saturday after they'd been rolled and harrowed. This is the earliest we've moved fields at the end of winter. We usually move off the winter fields in March. The winter fields will now be rolled, harrowed and left for hay.

Way too wet to do anything with the land. Got stuck and churned-up deep ruts the other day, and that was on a well-draining slope!
Probably april will be better.
Your field looks lovely 🙂

When is best to do it? I was planning to harrow last week but it rained. How long should I put it off?
I’m holding off harrowing my Winter field until they move onto Summer field although will harrow bottom part asap and fence off as I need that for making a track system. I only harrowed Summer field as it was so dry and hadn’t done it in Autumn as was wet! March/ April is my usual harrowing time 😊
