Hello,

Few months ago I was complaining about my -first- sharer, an 18 year old girl who didn't want to do any poo picking (only "chore" I was asking for as pony lives out 24/7) but only ride.(and gave him bad habits)

I let her go end of May and mid June found a new sharer.(well she found my advert!)
I was very careful the second time as didn't want anything to happen like with the 1st sharer but I shouldn't have worried!

Just wanted to say she is great, she loves my pony, doesn't mind poo picking on her days (she goes to the yard 3 days a week, sometime 4 if they are days I can't go), keeps me updated via notebook/email, and obviously ride.-bad habits giving by 1st sharer like eating while hacking or not listening have gone!-
My pony seem to really like her too which is so great as I don't think it was the case with 1st sharer.

She also has a little girl the same age as the one I look after so we have done few picnics at the yard together which they love!

Anyway this was just to say to people who struggle to find the right one that THEY exist, you just have to be very careful and don't hesitate to be picky as at the end of the day it is your horse you "share"!

I hope she stays with us a long time as I don't think I would be able to find another person as good as she is!

:-)

Anyone who want to share their (good) share experience?

Me! I have had some amazing sharers over the years with my oldie. Her main sharer has been with us for over 14 years and I really feel Jas belongs to her more than me. We have a saying - she's "Mum" and I'm just "The Owner". Other sharers have only left because we have done such a good job between us that they have been inspired to get their own horse.

You really can't beat a good sharer, and they are out there - you just have to be very careful, ask loads of questions, monitor them closely to start with then let them get on with it.
