We do. She wanders around, telling all and sundry what their horses are 'telling' her about this and that (past histories, where they are sore etc). People (sensible people that I thought would have known better) have now started coming to her saying things like 'my horse was being a right prat last night, why?' and she tells them some sort of story.

I know I sound like a right cynical old bag, but what clinches it for me is that this woman's daughter has a very sweet mare who is as lame as a duck on her off hind and the daughter still rides her and does all sorts. Some people on the yard have pointed out to the daughter that the horse is lame, but she just says 'no she's not'.

So, my question is - if she's a horse whisperer, why has her own daughter's horse not said to her 'look, my off hind is really sore, can you please ask your daughter to stop riding me?'

It would all be very funny, if it weren't so sad.

I'd say every yard has its share of nutters and wierdos but I've thankfully never been on a yard with someone who thought they could communicate with horses.

Its bad enough living with the condemnation of Parelli folk when you use a whip or spurs, the last thing I'd want is them telling me my horse thought I was cruel.

oh dear, am afraid that all though I am a bit fluffy (rather precious about our gorgeous girls!) I just couldn't stand someone like this. Such a load of ****!

On a humerous note - many many years ago some people on the yard I was at thought I was a bit of a nutter, this stemmed from one of the horses on the yard which had a bit of a reputation for being a little dangerous always doing as it was told when I whispered in it's ear. I let this go on for a couple of days then couldn't keep it to myself any longer... the horse in question had previously only been bred and owned by one person who was Welsh speaking. As I speak welsh the horse seemed to only listen to me. I taught the new owner some welsh phrases and now they get along fine.

To be honest, I haven't a clue what Mum's name is. I try and keep as much distance from her as I possibly can!
If she spoke to my lad I think his demands would be simple and clear cut: more hay, less riding.

Clannad48 - we had a hilarious situation at our last yard. One of the liveries was down for a bring in and the owner told the groom to just shout the mare from the gate and she would come. Well, groom went up to field and called and called the mare, who steadfastly ignored him. Groom spoke BBC-English. Groom then remembered that the mare's owner was from Newcastle, so he adopted his thickest Geordie-brogue and hollered the mare's name. Whereupon her head came up and she cantered straight over to the gate!
He was p*ssing himself laughing when he led her back to the yard, as were we.

O dear I am one of them nutter's who has one that come's on to the yard!! Everyone is different on what gifts they have etc. Im wary of other people who say they can do it as I have seen some people pretending to be one which does'nt help the truefully people who are out to help the horse and owner not the money side and the ergo that some seem to have!!!

With my lady I was very close on giving up on my horse due to so many problems etc. He is now a complety different horse now and now Im having to ride bareback due to his saddle's ***** up ever though it was check not long ago another thing there no way I would of done that years ago I would be meeting floor as soon as I got on!!

With having treatment's nothing got leftd behide so a lot of negative stuff came though too as my temper was very sky high with him at times!! I wanted a hole to swallow me up as it wasnt nice to hear from someone who wasn't even there when I did lose it with him the shame of it I will never let it lay. A true person will pick up on these's momnets you cant lie to them.

I understand why some people think it's rubbish etc as I have met some who think they are much better then other's!! Ergos are not what is needed help and understanding why horse's do things. There's always a reason why they do something!!

My instructors friend can communicate with horses, and if im honest I would find it hard to belive that she can't. My instructor cant belive some of the things she has told her that only she would know!
she will text her out of the blue saying I know you had problems today its becuase.........and you need to do this.........
FREAKY!!!

oh dear!! any decent or genuine whisperer wouldnt advertise or offer facts unless asked, certainly not go round a yard giving out "stories or communications".

Most of the genuine people keep their gifts to themselves on the whole!! - sounds like a fraud who wants attention lol
